Fallout MMORPG Announced; July 2010 Launch

Today, Interplay, via a SEC filing, announced a July 2010 launch date for an upcoming MMORPG based on the post-nuclear RPG franchise Fallout. According to the document, the game will take place in the "highly recognized Fallout … world" and the production will begin next month. Listed under the projections, Interplay predicted that by year two, the game would be profitable and maintaining over a million subscribers.

Along with that, all their then in-development projects were cancelled (one of which was rumored to be Fallout 3). Since then, Interplay has been trying to keep afloat amidst in their financial woes following $11 million USD debt since last year. In the meantime, Bethesda Softworks is handling Fallout 3.
