Famitsu dips Halo 3 in platinum

Halo 3 set to tear sh*t upWith its hype engine running on about 36 cylinders, Halo 3 is set to be one of the biggest videogame releases in history. Of course, there is always the chance that the game will turn out to be a total bust, but not a single Halo fan would even entertain the possibility of that happening.

Neither would Famitsu magazine, apparently. The famous Japanese magazine is the first major publication to review Master Chief’s latest outing, and they give it two big thumbs up (or maybe peace signs, considering their place of residence). Actually, of the four Famitsu reviewers critiquing Halo 3, one bestowed a perfect 10 out of 10 upon the game, and the other three delivered near-perfect 9s. The final verdict from Famitsu was 10/9/9/9, for an average of 9.25. Platinum sauce.

More reviews from every part of the gaming press will be coming in soon, including GamerNode’s own take on the Xbox-seller, so stay tuned.

Halo 3 is set to arrive on store shelves next week.
