Final Wii browser available today

As of this morning, Wii owners have access to the final Opera Browser for the Nintendo Wii. Best of all, this update will be free until June 30. Users simply have to initiate a Wii system update via the settings menu. Once it’s done, head over to the Wii Shop Channel to start the download. If you’ve already downloaded the trial Internet Channel, just click on "Update" within the download page.

The new browser is improved over the trial version in a number of ways. There are much better zoom and scroll features, allowing users to view web pages much more clearly and conveniently. Additionally, links are brightly highlighted when pointed at, and there is a built in search powered by your choice of either Google or Yahoo.

Wii owners better get this update while it’s hot. After June 30, the price jumps up to 500 Wii points, or $5.
