Earlier this month at Comic-Con, NetherRealm announced that Freddy Krueger would be the final DLC character to appear in Mortal Kombat. After the reveal, many of us were left wondering how the Springwood Slasher managed to claw his way into the MK universe.
Turns out that Shao Kahn’s incessant meddling with human souls caught Freddy’s attention and accidentally caused him to be pulled into the waking world. Needless to say, Freddy is pissed and wants revenge, Elm Street style.
Now, armed with not one, but two deadly demonic razor gloves and desperate to return to the dream realm, Mr. Krueger must fight for his freedom in the Mortal Kombat tournament. Will Freddy ever get back to torturing those helpless kids on Elm Street? That’s up to you to decide this week for just 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live or $4.99 on the PlayStation Network.
