GDC Europe going to Games Con 2009

Think Services announced today that the company, in conjunction with gamescom, will be bringing the Game Developers Conference (GDC) Europe to Games Convention 2009 in Cologne, Germany.

Frank Sliwka, who recently joined Think Services through the company’s acquisition of Global Games Media (GGM), will lead the event as Vice President of European Business Development and Event Director for GDC Europe.

Think Services’ Executive Vice President of Global Events Kathy Schoback expressed her excitement for the event, stating, "We are thrilled to present GDC Europe during gamescom. A world class game developer event belongs at the premier European game industry event. With the support of Koelnmesse, BIU (the German Trade Association of Interactive Entertainment Software), and the City of Cologne, Europe’s most significant games gathering will definitely be a great success, and we couldn’t be more excited to have Frank Sliwka bring his deep experience to helping deliver GDC Europe."

GDC is an invaluable event for developers and industry personnel, where seminars and conferences focus on driving the industry forward through cooperative learning and improvement. Access to industry leaders is made readily available for individuals who participate in the event, and combining it with one of the largest videogame trade shows in the world can only serve to stimulate even more growth.

GDC Europe 2009 will take place August 17-19, 2009.
