George Harrison officially leaving Nintendo

HarrisonThis may seem like old news, but until now, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications George Harrison had yet to "officially" confirm his retirement from the company.

As of yesterday, however, the industry veteran has declared the fact in no uncertain terms:

"I have confirmed to all employees that I will be leaving at the end of December and not making the move to California."

Harrison’s departure comes as a result of Nintendo’s June decision to relocate it’s Sales and Marketing division from Redmond, Washington to the San Francisco Bay area. Many of the Big N’s employees have made similar changes, including Vice President of Corporate Affairs Perrin Kaplan and Senior Director of Public Relations Beth Llewelyn.
