In what is, well, HUGE news, Game Informer’s latest issue reveals a few more details about Rockstar Games’ upcoming Grand Theft Auto IV. Apparently, this will be the first GTA game to feature multiplayer — and that is very exciting. (No, San Andreas’ multiplayer doesn’t count.) Other pieces of information include:
- The protagonist’s name is Niko Bellic
- There is only one city – and no planes expected
- You make use of a cellphone to communicate with contacts
- MORE open-ended than before. A bigger sandbox with more options
- The game’s storyline is structured differently from previous editions, likely replacing the mission-to-mission style with a more smooth narrative presentation
Multiplayer?! Sign me up — especially if it’s co-op.
