Mark October 9th on your calendar folks since that’s the confirmed release date of Half-Life 2: Episode Two for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
In addition, multiplayer game Team Fortress 2 and action/puzzle game Portal will be released on the same day. All three titles will be released through retail and through Valve Software’s Steam broadband online delivery system.
Electronic Arts is handling the retail distribution and the retail package will be called Half-Life 2: The Orange Box.
Along with including the three new games, the package will include the original Half-Life 2 and last year’s Half-Life 2: Episode One. It’ll retail for $49.99 for PC and $59.99 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Steam prices are unconfirmed as of this writing.
