Inafune hates his job, wants to retire

The popular developer hates his job.

The creator of Mega Man and producer of the Dead Rising and Onimusha series, Keiji Inafune, hates his job and wants to get out of the business early.

In a recent interview, Inafune was discussing the challenges that come with his position. The interviewer then stated that Capcom’s head of Research and Development seems to love his job.

"It’s the opposite," replied Inafune. "I hate it! I want to retire early and take it easy."

He then continued to say that is why he is working so hard and not taking things slow as most developers/producers who like their job do. Inafune entertained the option of do a tiny part in a game like Dead Rising and then getting paid a high salary.

"There are loads of creators like that," he explained. "But I’m not like that. If things are difficult while they are doing it, they can become a leader and a creator."
