Iwata: Ocarina of Time 3DS will launch before Skyward Sword

The game will be out after Ocarina of Time's 3DS re-release.

During Nintendo’s third-quarter financial report, President Satoru Iwata revealed that its 3DS re-release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will arrive before the next main installment in the series, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Though he didn’t mention a specific release date for either game, he made it clear that Ocarina of Time for the 3DS would arrive before Skyward Sword.

"Talking about The Legend of Zelda franchise, what people called a masterpiece in the days of Nintendo 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been in the process of being remade for Nintendo 3DS, and this Nintendo 3DS version is expected to hit the market earlier [than Skyward Sword]," said Iwata.

Earlier in the report, Iwata confirmed that Shigeru Miyamoto and his team are in the final completion stages of Skyward Sword.
