Kojima Wants to Develop for PC, 360; MGS4 Such a Title?

The father of the Metal Gear Solid games, Hideo Kojima, is setting his eyes on producing some projects for Microsoft’s Xbox 360, but hasn’t been specific enough for anyone to gauge where the game design genius was headed as far as specific titles.

Kojima told GamePro, "I do have strong interest in creating something for the Xbox 360. In the US and Europe, it is selling, and I think it will sell a lot this year as well. I’m a fan of Gears of War as well, it’s very interesting." In addition to 360 development, he expressed his desire to also produce Konami’s next big title, Metal Gear Sold 4, for the PC as well. "Frankly speaking, I want to create something on the PC. It’s a multi-platform [in a sense]. I’ve been regularly studying work on the PC anyways, and I want to provide something as a worldwide platform because of the consequences with timing on the PlayStation platforms, MGS4 is actually for the PS3 only so far."

The statement by Kojima, in which he hints that the Metal Gear Solid series is no longer exclusive to the PlayStation market, suggests that MGS may possibly make an appearance on the 360 sometime in the future. This will be a definite boost for Microsoft’s game platform, and would continue the trend of games that were once Sony exclusives becoming available on the Xbox 360.
