L.A. Noire gets new screens, case details

L.A. Noire

Some new details have emerged on one of the crime desks that players will be serving on as detective Cole Phelps in Rockstar Games and Team Bondi’s upcoming title L.A. Noire.

The Patrol Desk will be the first that the player will experience in the game and it will see Phelps in full LAPD uniform walking the streets and driving through the neighborhoods of his precinct with partner Ralph Dunn. It will be through the hard work in these cases that Phelps will pay his dues on his way to becoming a detective while at the same time honing his skills of intuition.

With the information and screens on the Patrol Desk also came details on two of the cases that will be featured during the player’s time on the streets.

"Armed & Dangerous" has Phelps and Dunn receiving a call about a robbery in progress. The duo are ordered to head to the scene that is already under fire and test their marksmanship by taking down the crooks and saving those taken hostage.

In the second case, "Upon Reflection", Phelps is called to the scene of a homicide being overseen by Floyd Rose and future partner Rusty Galloway. The two detectives ask Phelps and Dunn to help them in finding the murder weapon, providing Phelps with a golden opportunity to prove his worth.

L.A. Noire is set for a May 17 release for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
