Lara Croft gets Steam(y)

laracroftswingingEidos Interactive announced today that Tomb Raider: Anniversary is now available for pre-ordering on Valve Software’s online broadband delivery service Steam.

For a nice cool price of $29.95, you can buy now and pre-load the game, which can be later unlocked for immediate play once the game is released on June 1st (most of the world) or June 5th (North and South America).

Eidos is the latest publisher to embrace Steam. Since hopping on board back in March, more Eidos games have been added to Steam, including the Deus Ex series and Thief: Deadly Shadows back in late March and more recently, Ancient Wars: Sparta and a bonus map-pack for Battlestations: Midway. It’s expected that upon its release, Championship Manager 2007 will also be added to the growing list.
