There’s been numerous rumors going around and after almost a decade of waiting, Capcom has finally unveiled the next Vs. crossover game, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. Announced at Capcom’s press event, Captivate, in Hawaii, the game will run on the HD Framework engine, which powers Lost Planet 2, and be released on Xbox 360 and PS3 in Spring of 2011.

A teaser trailer has been released and shows full 3D characters from both sides duking it out. Wolverine takes on Ryu, Morrigan seduces Iron Man, and Hulk battles Chris Redfield. Yes, Chris Redfield will be trading blows with some Marvel super heroes. There are also a few silhouettes behind each companies logo, with characters that appear to be Dante, Chun-Li, Frank West, and Viewtiful Joe on the Capcom side and Super Skrull, Captain America, Deadpool, and Dr. Doom on the Marvel side.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom producer Ryota Niitsuma will be taking director duties on the title, so we know the game is in good hands. Now it’s just a long wait until Spring of 2011.
