Mass Effect 3 officially unveiled, Reapers invade London

The third part of the trilogy is officially revealed.

All the rumors are true. After it was accidentally ousted yesterday, Mass Effect 3 was officially revealed at the Spike VGAs this evening.

The teaser trailer shows a desperate marine in a clock tower, listing off the millions that have perished in this ruthless attack. He notes that he has no idea what this menace is that is attacking, but that Shepard had better get home soon.

A light then shines on the marine and the camera pulls back to reveal that he is holding up inside Big Ben as London is ravaged by the Reapers. The shot continues to pull back until you see Commander Shepard watching from orbit as Earth burns.

Finally, a release window is given. Mass Effect 3 will be available sometime during the 2011 Holiday season.

You can find the whole trailer below.
