Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain revealed with trailer at GDC

At a panel this morning during the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, Hideo Kojima arrived on stage wearing bandages to reveal that “The Phantom Pain,”  first shown last December at Spike TV’s Video Game Awards, will actually be the next entry into the famed Metal Gear Solid Franchise, entitled Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Along with the announcement comes a new trailer that cuts a scene of Snake in a hospital together with clips of various action sequences from the game, some of which have been recycled from the original trailer shown last year. You can watch the full trailer below.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is scheduled for release, date TBD, on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
