After Sony dropped the price for the PlayStation 3, the eyes are now being turned at Microsoft to see their next move.
While industry analysts are predicting a price drop for the Xbox 360 sometime in the future, Microsoft is actually staying pretty tight-lipped about their game plan and offered comments straight at Sony.
A Microsoft representative told IGN, "We’re not surprised by Sony’s reaction to the market. We’ll see if it makes a difference. It’s interesting to note that they’ve significantly dropped their price in the first eight months while Xbox 360 has continued to sell well at our launch price for more than a year and a half."
Youch, I’d say that’s some pretty serious jabbing at the competition that I’ve seen in quite a while.
