Modern day Oregon Trail

Thule TrailIt’s time for yet another trip down memory lane! I just spent the last half hour (when I probably should’ve been writing news stories) playing Thule Trail, a modern day re-imagining of the classic PC game, Oregon Trail.

This time around, it’s a road trip across the United States in an attempt to reach the Atlantis Music Festival on time and with enough cash to enter. Along the way, players run into all kinds of road blocks, pick up hitchhikers, get robbed, hunt for pizza and chips with a pellet gun, buy gas, run out of gas, view scenic vistas, compete in extreme sports events, and more. I found it to be strangely fun and captivating.

Anyone who fondly remembers playing The Oregon Trail back in their elementary school computer class owes it to themselves to check it out here.
