Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package sets Xbox Live record

Stimulus Package gets 1 million downloads in 24 hours.

Activision announced today that its signature FPS Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has set a new record for Xbox Live with its Stimulus Package DLC map pack.

The map pack saw more than one million downloads in the first 24 hours of its release, shattering records for the console’s online service. The content also saw a total of over 2.5 million downloads by the end of the first week.

In addition to the download numbers for the Stimulus Package, which features five maps for Modern Warfare 2, Activision announced that players have logged over 1.75 billion hours into the game on Xbox Live. Spread out the number equates out to over 20,000 years of gameplay.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package is priced at 1200 Microsoft Points, which comes to $15.
