Anyone who purchased the Marvel vs Capcom 3 Strategy Guide along with the game got an interesting surprise: full-blown character sections for the first two announced DLC fighters: Resident Evil’s Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath, one of Doctor Strange’s many adversaries.
Both characters’ movesets are completely explained and detailed, from button inputs to combo information and assist tips. Normally this wouldn’t be a big deal, as the other 36 characters have the exact same thing, but downloadable content being made available for the strategy guide might lead some to believe that Jill and Shuma will be to Marvel vs Capcom 3 what Versus Mode was to Resident Evil 5: players having to using points or money just to unlock content already on the disc.
