Bungie has added Double Team Training to the Halo 3 beta this week, allowing gamers to throw down in an unranked 2 vs. 2 match. They have also made available a ranked version of Big Team Battle, which is the 6 on 6 option.
Brian Post, a member of the GamerNode writing staff noted, "Man, so Bungie really does love us. However, like a spoiled significant other, I’d like a little more to warm my heart. I’m crossing my fingers we’ll all get something equivalent to roses or chocolate next Wednesday, you know, like the deadly energy sword or the powerful cap poppin’ pistol."
As for other additions, some custom matches have been accessed, revealing features like escort missions and automatic team switching. These aren’t official updates, but have been achieved via modding and/or persistence.
Said the discoverer of one of the custom games, "we kept trying [to get in] and it worked … this is a real game, no modding involved."
