No more lucha masks for US pre-orders of Lucha Libra AAA: Heroes del Ring

Wanted those sweet lucha masks US buyers? Well, too bad.

In a recent interview with GamerNode, first party liaison and director of Slash Federico Beyer revealed some startling news about the developer’s upcoming wrestling title Lucha Libre AAA: Heroes del Ring. US fans who were eagerly anticipating one of the four advertised luchador masks (Dr. Wagner Jr., La Parka, Octagon, Abismo Negro) as a pre-order bonus for the game will no longer be getting them.

"We originally intended to have this lucha libre mask as a pre-sale gift with purchase in our title," said Beyer. "Unfortunately, that cannot be done due to some compliance reasons in the US."

Beyer was quick to add however that Slang will be making sure that fans who will no longer be receiving the masks get something in return for their pre-orders.

"It’s terrible news that we won’t be able to use those masks in the US," Beyer continued. "But that unfortunately happened and we will certainly compensate the gamers in another way, which we are evaluating right now."

Be sure to keep an eye out for the full interview with Beyer on Lucha Libre AAA: Heroes del Ring in the coming days. The game will release for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, PSP, and Nintendo DS.
