Oblivion Delayed

Xbox360 owners can scratch another game off their launch day wishlist. Take Two announced today that both the PC and Xbox 360 versions of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, will be delayed until Q2 2006, placing the game’s release date somewhere between February and April. This is especially disappointing for Microsoft, who have just lost one of the few visually stunning games that the Xbox 360 was going to have this year. The delay comes to no surprise of people in the industry, as rumors from over a month ago indicated that the game did not run smoothly enough on neither current generation PC hardware nor the Xbox 360. Remember, any reason for the delay is purely speculation at this point, as an official reason has not been released by Take Two.
