Onboard Car Entertainment Center Offers GBA Features

Visteon Corp, who produce onboard video DVD and CD music players for automobiles, has announced that it will make their Dockable Family Entertainment System compatible with Nintendo™s Game Boy Advance handheld game consoles. The DFES is used in various SUVs, family vans and cars. The device works in conjunction with a flip down DVD screen for passengers. The GBA equipped DFES will come with wireless controllers for the Game Boy Advance and also have ports that will allow backseat gamers a way to link with each other. Greg Gyllstrom, vice president of Visteon said, "Many consumers use the Dockable Family Entertainment System as an effective ‘backseat babysitter’ during road trips and daily commutes. The system also offers superior versatility and true OEM-grade performance. This next-generation system enhances the consumer experience in all respects. This system appeals to a growing audience that spans virtually all age categories. In-vehicle video and gaming can help make any trip more enjoyable, both for the driver and passengers." We hope that he means that the trip will be more enjoyable for the driver in being more peaceful, and not because the driver is playing video games while on the road!
