Fresh from PAX 07, Hothead Games revealed that the first episode of Penny Arcade Adventures will grace the presence of Xbox Live Arcade in early 2008. In addition, future installments will follow on XBLA. For a while, the action/adventure episodic series was known to only head to PC, Mac and Linux users, but this announcement finally gives the console gamers some PA love.
PC, Mac and Linux fans will receive the title sometime this year, courtesy from a download off of Hothead’s site. Among the game’s features is a customized main character, an authentic Penny Arcade experience crafted from the series’ creators, and a turn-based combat system that’ll adequately serve all players alike.
According to the press release, the game will "debut on XBLA." Whether this actually means the game will be available for XBLA before PC, or whether this is just a strangely worded phrase is yet to be seen.
