PS3 Price Issues Hit the UK

Two weeks ago, Europeans were delighted to hear Sony’s announcement regarding the official launch date for the PS3 in Europe, as the highly anticipated console’s release had been pushed back last year due to shortages of the machine. But the issue of its high price point–which has dogged Sony since the PS3 was launched in North America and Japan–refuses to go away. With the release of the pricing structure for the console in the UK, yet another group of people is up in arms over the high cost.

The Guardian, a UK news site, published its concerns in an article entitled, "PS3 Launch Price Is No Fun For UK Gamers," and in its subheading announced, "We have to wait longer for the new PlayStation to be released here–and we’ll have to pay more for it too."
