RAGE gets dated at Quakecon

It's off in the distance, but at least the game has a date gamers can look forward to.

During this year’s edition of Quakecon, iD Software finally gave an official release date for their highly anticipated shooter RAGE. Unfortunately for anyone hoping it would be soon, they will have to wait with everyone else until September 2011.

The game was pegged for a general 2010 release date at last year’s Quakecon, but will now be coming to North America for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on September 13, 2011. Europe will be getting the game two days later on September 15, 2011.

RAGE is a first-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world that also mixes in elements of racing and vehicle combat. It was originally revealed to the world three years ago at Quakecon 2007.
