The basic information behind the tragic backstory of new Assassin’s Creed protagonist Connor has been well known now for months. However, Ubisoft has decided to give some visualization to that history and a little more insight thanks to the brand new trailer for Assassin’s Creed III.
Titled “An Assassin’s Journey”, the trailer gives a slight reveal to the event that changes Connor’s life from that of a free child to a devastated and eager youth. The incident places our half Brit, half Native American hero on an evolutionary path as a member of the assassins.
Unlike Ezio Auditore in Assassin’s Creed II, Connor’s drive to join the order is shown to represent one of justice and freedom, not vengeance. He also, unlike Ezio, appears to substitute ego and emotion with humbleness and rationality.
Assassin’s Creed III is set to release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 30th. Wii U users will get their version with the consoles launch on November 18, while PC gamers will have to wait until November 23.
