Seeds goes Platinum?

Remember Clover Studio? They made games like the delightfully unique and fun-to-play PS2 action-adventure Okami, as well the critically acclaimed brawler Viewtiful Joe. Then the team, highlighted by Atsushi Inaba, Shinji Mikami, and Hideki Kamiya, got shut down by Capcom.

They decided to form Seeds, a new development house where they could continue to make awesome games. This was good news to all

Now, the studio has merged with ODD Corporation and will be renamed (the generic) Platinum Games. The website states:

On October 1, 2007, SEEDS Corporation will merge with ODD Corporation to create "Platinum Games," which will be a fresh step forward.

Ok. So it’s the same crew, but now they’re called Platinum Games. How…boring.
