SiN strutts its stuff at CES

Although the development cycle of SiN Episodes still has a short while to go, the latest build was being displayed at CES by Ritual Entertainment. Many of you may remember Ritual's last attempt at the the SiN series back in 1998. However, the game was quickly taken down by Valve's first shooter: Half-Life. Well it looks like Ritual has forgotten all about that little event, as they have now teamed up with Valve, using the Source engine to power their new SiN Episodes. The game expands on the original's storyline by offering up new weapons, characters, environments, and graphics, all in a futuristic city that's a combination of New York, San Francisco, and Tokyo called, "Freeport City". Using the Source engine means that SiN Episodes will feature highly interactive environments and some interesting vehicular combat. SiN Episodes: Emergence will be the first in the series as the whole series will be released in short episodes of 3-6 hours each. This also means that these episodes will only be available for purchase on Valve's STEAM content service. SiN Episodes is currently scheduled for a Q1 2006 release.
