Sony and others not attending E for All Expo

eforallexpoWith E3 now on life support, there are two different shows that have risen to try to take its place — the E3 Media and Business Summit which took place this past July and the upcoming E for All Expo.

With October approaching, it was just a matter of time before companies started announcing their intentions to join the E for all Expo. But unlike its E3 cousin, the E for All Expo will be heavily scaled down.

So far, major companies like Electronic Arts, Nintendo, THQ, Namco and Konami have announced their intentions to attend the show. PC hardware companies like Intel and Nvidia will attend as well.

But many big companies won’t be attending such as Sony (both Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Online Entertainment), NCSoft, SEGA and Capcom. As of now, Microsoft is on the fence about attending.

With support waning, how will E for All Expo fare? What we do know is that the superior Games Convention is currently underway and many companies and game developers are saving their big announcements for that. In the meantime, stay tuned to GN for more coverage.
