Sony's UNCHARTED 3 page launches, gives new details

Multiplayer will have

Sony has launched its webpage for Naughty Dog’s recently announced UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception today and with it came more details on the title’s story and gameplay.

The first details to come from the site are on the game’s antagonists, as Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan compete to find the "Atlantis of the Sands" against "a shadowy clandestine organization and its ruthless leader."

"When the terrible secrets of this lost city are unearthed, Drake’s quest descends into a desperate bid for survival that strains the limits of his endurance and forces him to confront his deepest fears," read the description.

Drake’s Deception will be expanding its gameplay with a new melee system that allows hand-to-hand combat with multiple enemies, contextual melee attacks, and new stealth options. Gameplay will also feature deeper gunplay with expanded and diverse traversal moves.

New details on mutliplayer also came out via the page with Naughty Dog and Sony claiming that the game will, for the first time, be able to bring the "cinematic elements" from the single-player to the mode.

It is already common knowledge that the majority of the game will take place in the Middle East and have Naughty Dog taking on the challenge of animating sand. But Drake’s Deception will also take players to locations in Europe and also look to evolve the animation dynamics of fire, smoke, and water.

UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception is currently set for a late 2011 release and is already available for pre-order on Amazon.com.
