Capcom’s philosophy seems to be to make as much money from what titles they already have than making new content. Case in point, the ten MILLION Mega Man games and the slew of compilation games in their fighting series, the newest of which is the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology which will feature Street Fighter Alpha 1, 2 and 3 as well as Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold and Pocket Fighter. Rather than do something totally outrageous such as adding content to the games, Capcom has stated that these games will in fact be straight ports of their Arcade counterparts. No plans for online play, pricing or plans to release the compilation on consoles other than the PS2 have been announced. Street Fighter Alpha Anthology will ship in the summer of ’06.
