The 30-Day Gamer Challenge – Day 15

Killer7

A game you constantly want to replay

There are a few that fall under this category, but who knows how many times I would list Demon’s Souls and Braid if I just threw them out there whenever they crossed my mind.

No, today I’m going to go with Killer7, the most demented piece of software I’ve ever experienced. I finished the game twice early in its life cycle, and have been wanting to revisit it for some time now. I’m especially reminded of the game when playing other, less enjoyable ones. I often think, "I wish I was playing Killer7 now instead."

It’s true that the game relied a lot on plot twists and a touch of mystery to make it all the more awesome in the end, but I feel the convoluted nature of the game and the odd symbolism behind many of its components make it worth running through multiple times. On top of that, the shooting mechanics are enjoyable, especially with seven different characters available at any time.

"Say goodnight, child." Gotta love Harmon Smith.
