This week’s releases: 11/14 – 11/20

Assassin's Creed: Revelations

It is both a happy and sad week for fans of the Assassin’s Creed series as the release of the newest title in the franchise, Assassin’s Creed Revelations, will see the end of not just original historical protagonist Altair, but also that of popular Italian master of the creed Ezio Auditore de Firenze.

The adventure will see Ezio retracing the steps of Altair in Constantinople in order to unravel more of the mysterious secrets surrounding the Templars, Assassins, Pieces of Eden, and god-like beings whose existance predated human civilization. Fans will be able to get a hold of the game and say a fond farewell to duo on Tuesday for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

As for followers of the creed according to Halo, they will have a chance to replay the game that started it all in fully remastered HD on their Xbox 360 with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. The title will also come with HD-upgraded maps from the original Halo: Combat Evolved to be used in the Halo: Reach multiplayer system.

Another long-running series, much longer than the two previously mentioned, that will be getting a fresh release will be The Legend of Zelda. In this new tale, the first in five years, Link will once again be on a quest to save his beloved princess when The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword lands for the Nintendo Wii on Sunday.

Those loyal to everything Marvel vs. Capcom will get treated to a new title as well with the arrival of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. New modes will come in the package in addition to new characters like Hawkeye, Nova, Phoenix Wright, and more.
