This week's releases: 9/5 – 9/11

Get on your skates and check yourself into a new hockey season.

This first week of September is chock full of releases looking to satiate almost any videogame fan. First off, hockey fans will be getting their annual dose of satisfaction with NHL 11 coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Hockey fans who own a Nintendo Wii will be getting a game of their own in the form of NHL Slapshot. Also arriving will be two superhero games in the form of Batman: The Brave and the Bold for the DS and Wii and the highly-anticipated Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions for the PS3, Xbox 360, DS, and Wii.

War game players will be getting a duo of titles as well with World War II strategy game R.U.S.E. releasing on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 and air combat simulator HAWK 2 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Last but not least, the PSP will be getting its own big release in the form of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, the portable prequel to the series’ original title.
