TubeHero on iOS combines rhythm game with iTunes libraries

TubeHero

Social rhythm game developer JamRT is taking its online Facebook title TubeHero to the iTunes App Store, creating a new version for iOS platforms where the player’s own iTunes library is the game’s track list.

“Based on its patented technology and leveraging its popular Facebook game, TubeHero will enable players to play any iTunes track they own, in a colorful and engaging rhythm game, enjoying the entire iTunes library from today’s superstars, up and coming indie artists, and yesterday’s legends,” stated a press release on the game by The Redner Group.

TubeHero will feature three difficulty levels, multiplier bonuses, tap notes, smudge tails, and a health meter. Players will also be able to post their scores to Facebook and have access to virtual items and achievements such as guitars, stages, and new game modes that are currently unavailable in the Facebook version of the title.

The original TubeHero for Facebook combined rhythm gameplay with YouTube music videos. Users have generated over 50 million YouTube minutes and more than 1.3 million views for the most notable clips via the game.
