Ubisoft Report: GRAW 2, BIA/Assassin's Creed Delayed, 7 More Wii Titles

Ubisoft made several announcements in their latest financial report, disclosed to shareholders and the media. Among the usual financial announcements (including a 13% jump in earnings), the mega-publisher acknowledged Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, sequel to the hit Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, is in development and set for release during the first quarter in 2007.

The news was not positive for hotly anticipated titles Assassin’s Creed and Gearbox Software’s upcoming WWII FPS/strategy continuation Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway. Both games have been delayed to the fiscal year 2008, which runs from April 1, 2007 to March 21, 2008. Originally both games were set for release in early 2007.

Ubisoft also announced the existence of an additional seven Wii games. Titles and details were not divulged in the press release, but one of the in-development games is an unannounced new franchise. All 7 games will be out by the end of March 2007.
