UK Chart: Nanosuit beats Zumba

For the second week in a row Crysis 2 has taken the UK top spot, with its chief competitor Zumba Fitness losing out by less than 500 sales.

Failing to match the opening sales figures of the recently reinvigorated Hot Pursuit franchise, EA’s newly released Shift 2: Unleashed entered the UK chart in a modest fourth place.

Despite this, with its games having dominated the top six slots of the UK chart for the best part of 13 weeks now, Crysis 2 and Shift 2: Unleashed‘s success cements the fact that EA has had one of its best first quarters in recent memory.

Having been trumped by Zumba Fitness, Lucasarts’ Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars suffered a disappointing week loosing nearly a third of its sales to come in at number three.

THQ’s Homefront lost all momentum with its sales figures halving from last week, leaving the game in a lonesome fifth place.

Pokemon White managed to remain in the top 10 scraping in at number nine. It was revealed this week that along with its brother Pokemon Black, the two games have now managed to sell over three million copies worldwide.

With the weather remaining dreary, the Brits seem to have decided to get their exercise digitally with sporting titles dominating the lower echelons of the top 10. Specifically, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters premiered at number six, while WWE All Stars lagged just behind to come in seventh, just below was the ever popular FIFA 11 climbed two places to come in eighth.
