Uncharted 3 getting co-op survival mode

Tomorrow marks the release of the Uncharted 3 “Flashback Map Pack #2,” but Naughty Dog has revealed that it’s been keeping a special little secret regarding another piece of new content arriving in March: a co-op survival mode.

The only thing that is known about the new mode is that it is officially called Co-Op Shade Survival Mode and that the above image was provided as a visual teaser. Based on said photo, it appears that the mode will pit players against waves of flame-jinn-transformed members of Marlowe’s Hermetic Order, the same that Nathan Drake hallucinated into existence in the single-player campaign.

Uncharted 3‘s “Flashback Map Pack #2” will include four maps from the Uncharted 2 multiplayer — Plaza, Temple, Train Wreck, and Village — upgraded with Uncharted 3‘s engine. It will cost players $9.99, unless they are a member of the Fortune Hunter’s Club, where all DLC is free.

To see a video of the re-released maps, just take a look below.
