Uncharted 3 launch trailer shows off narrative

Uncharted 3

With less than two weeks to go before the release of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Naughty Dog and Sony have unveiled the game’s official launch trailer, showcasing its stunning visuals and action-filled narrative.

The trailer focuses on Nathan Drake’s journey to uncover the mystery of a secret expedition taken on by his famous explorer ancestor, Sir Francis Drake, to find Iram of the Pillars by order of the Queen of England. Along with the help of Victor Sullivan, Chloe Frazier, and Elena Fisher, Nate combines information on the locale gathered from Lawrence of Arabia and Drake in order to locate the lost city.

Unfortunately for the heroes, they aren’t the only ones looking to uncover Drake’s secret. A shady organization headed by Katherine Marlowe wants whatever is hidden in Iram of the Pillars, and the group will do just about anything to see their desires fulfilled.

Be warned, the trailer does contain some minor spoilers, so anyone looking to remain pure for when the game hits store shelves may want to skip the video. For those who don’t mind, simply keep scolling down.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is set for a November 1 release exclusively on the PlayStation 3.
