UPDATE: It turns out this news actually isn’t true — a tipster falsely sent this to 1P Start. Our apologies, but it looks like your hopes of playing as a female in GTA will force you to turn to the prostitute-looking cheat codes mentioned in the original story.
A story in this month’s Official PlayStation Magazine UK issue has a new scoop on Grand Theft Auto IV — the major point being that you’ll be taking on the role of a female at some point in the game.
This is a first in GTA history, cheats to make your character look like a prostitute notwithstanding. The character’s name is Elizabeta, and she will purportedly be playable about halfway through the game. A few other tidbits about the main character, Niko, were revealed along with details pertaining to the game’s Liberty City setting.
