UT3. Unlimited content possibilities on the PS3

Unreal Tournament 3 for PS3How would you like to play Unreal Tournament 3 on a console in 2007? Impossible, you say? Well, not since Sony announced at E3 that they would have an exclusive port to the game.

Unreal Tournament 3 for the PS3 is set to come out prior to the 360 version. The 360 version is set for release in Q1 2008, while the PS3 version is set for release in Q4 2007.

Not good enough for you? The PS3 version of the game will allow user created maps, mods, and skins from the PC version to be transferred over to the PS3. The new game engine will also be optimized specifically for the PS3’s hardware.

With the PS3 version, you will be able to go on your PC and edit something, save it to a memory stick, and transfer it directly onto the PS3 online. The Playstation Network doesn’t even have to check it over first, as it completely bypasses that step and takes your data directly into the game.

What does this all mean? You’re getting unlimited FREE content, even though Sony could and possibly should be charging all of us for that service. Xbox Live wouldn’t allow anything like this because of Microsoft’s tough restrictions, and users are charged to use that service.
