VP Peter Moore Sheds Light On Xbox 360 Production Goals

Microsoft committed itself to produce and ship 3 million units worldwide within 90 days of the Xbox 360s debut. Demand has been strong and the company has found itself struggling in order to fulfill its goals. But it looks as if the Big M may be hard pressed to make the numbers. The Financial Times, asked Peter Moore, vice president of marketing at Microsoft, what his view was, concerning the draught of 360s. Moore stated that, "Nothing’s perfect. You’ve got a complex piece of hardware that’s got 1,700 different parts in it, every now and again the line will slow down because something’s happened and there’ll be a component that didn’t make it that morning
