Ever wondered who would play Alan Wake in a movie? Well, it looks like that answer will arrive even sooner than the game, as Microsoft has just announced that Alan Wake will star in a six part series of live-action shorts this month.

The series, called "Bright Falls" (the setting of Alan Wake the game), will air on XBL for Gold Members on April 25th, and online at brightfalls.com on April 27th.

The short premiere trailer doesn’t reveal much, though it seems to focus more heavily on the townspeople than on some dark creatures or pages from Alan Wake’s writing. For those looking forward to picking up Alan Wake the game on May 18th, these shorts may provide a little insight into what promises to be an intriguing story.
