BioShock Infinite may use special PlayStation Move peripheral

BioShock Infinite

Irrational Games’ Ken Levine revealed at E3 earlier this year that BioShock Infinite will include PlayStation Move support. It looks like the developer may be using the peripheral in a different way though.

An article on the UK PlayStation website indicates that a new PlayStation Move peripheral is being developed specifically for BioShock Infinite. Unfortunately the page is down as of this writing, but others did get a look at the article.

“A special PS Move peripheral is being produced that will draw you even deeper into this stunning vision of a parallel future,” reads the statement on the PlayStation website.

Levine has been vocal about making PlayStation Move integration a worthwhile addition that doesn’t interfere with the main game. Introducing a brand new peripheral would certainly put a unique spin on motion controls in BioShock Infinite.

Nothing has been confirmed or denied at this point, but hopefully Irrational Games or Sony will provide more details soon.

My first experience playing a video game blew me away. The fact that Super Metroid was that game certainly helped. So I like to think Samus put me on the path to video games. Well, I guess my parents buying the SNES had a little something to do with it. Ever since then my passion for video games has grown. When I found that I could put words together into a coherent sentence, videogame journalism was a natural interest. Now I spend a large majority of my time either playing video games or writing about them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
