December 7 is a big date for the millions of World of Warcraft fans out there. It marks the release of the newest expansion, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. In a press release Blizzard revealed that they will be celebrating in style with multiple launch events around the world.
Starting on the night of December 6 players in US, Canada, France, Germany, Russia, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK, and Taiwan will have first crack at purchasing the game at select retail locations. Members of the development team will be on hand to meet with fans and sign copies of the game.
"After two years of development, we’re excited to now be just two weeks away from releasing our best World of Warcraft expansion yet," said Mike Morhaime, Blizzard CEO and cofounder. "Cataclysm will add a huge amount of new content to the game and change the face of Azeroth forever, and we can’t wait to celebrate this launch with players around the world."
