EQ2 players to wed in real life while playing the game

This Saturday at the SOE Fan Faire event, a gaming milestone will be broken as the first simultaneous real life and virtual wedding will take place. Two avid EverQuest II players will sit down at computers and exchange vows both in real life, and via their avatars.

Presiding over the event will be an actual priest. (No word yet on whether or not the priest will actually make a priest character to also preside over the virtual wedding.) SOE hasn’t revealed if the invitations will be /friends list only, but just in case it needs to be more preposterous, the event will be broadcast on several giant screens during Fan Faire’s Grand Banquet, and will likely conclude with at least several people ruining the couple’s magic moment with horrid MMO phrases such as "lol brb kissing bride!"

The question now, is whether or not this will spark a movement amongst other MMO addicts to be married in-game and in real life simultaneously. Just ask yourself: would you rather be married in a small, stuffy church, or in a small, stuffy church while also raiding Naxxramas’ lair?

(Will Vegas wedding chapels offer in-game weddings via macro to expedite the process?)
