Jimmy Fallon shows Uncharted 3 gameplay

Uncharted 3 on Fallon

Jimmy Fallon is making good on his promise to bring video games to late night, by being the first to show gameplay footage from, "the greatest videogame franchise ever," Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. That may be a bit of a broad statement, but if Fallon wants more games on his show, he has to appeal to the developers, right?

After a bit of explanation, and a brief moment to make fun of Christophe Balestra’s french accent (hilarious!), they jumped right into some gameplay from Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

Of course, the game looks great. There was no sand in the segment offered, but there was a lot of fire. Drake and Sully made their way through an engulfed mansion taking out enemies, while Fallon pretended the home belonged to Balestra, and offered helpful commentary like, "it seems like you’re reloading over there."

It’s likely that Fallon will never be able to get over his television awkwardness. It seems like every time he has a video game on his show, it’s the first time he has ever seen one, but it cannot be denied that he is genuinely excited to be able to offer these first peeks, and it is infectious.

Look for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception on November 1st, of 2011.
