Lead a concentration camp revolt in this Wolfenstein mod

concentration camp game

Seriously. The title says it all. And the development studio, Team Raycast, has been working on this thing since 2007. Not only that, they’ve planned two sequels.

The game is called Sonderkommando Revolt, the tale of a Jewish prisoner in the infamous Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz who leads a revolt among the other prisoners, killing any and every Nazi along the way. While the story is based on an actual event, the real revolt only resulted in the death of three German soldiers, with the majority of the casualties being on the side of the Jewish prisoners, both working for and against their Nazi captors.

Team Raycast says the surprisingly gory mod of a 1992 FPS, "very realistic, moody, challenging, and detailed." Apparently some of the in-game locations are taken directly from photographs of Auschwitz.

Truly, the trailer for this game surprised me enough with how intense it got. Just because it has Wolfenstein graphics doesn’t mean it pulls any punches. Just a fair warning, some of the material included (i.e. gas chambers, crematoriums, firing squads, and mass graves) can be really shocking and potentially offensive.
